Astronomical Discoveries
More astronomical discoveries have been made with MaxIm DL than any other commercially-available software package. Some recent examples are described below.
Supernovae
Tim Puckett and his team have discovered 178 supernovae to date. Most of the discoveries were made using MaxIm DL software to scan the images, with the help of the included Supernova Search Tool.

Asteroids
Bill Yeung has discovered over 1,700 asteroids using MaxIm DL to control his four CCD cameras.
Comets
Michael Oates has discovered over 100 comets using MaxIm DL to process images from the SOHO spacecraft.
