Using the COM Automation (ActiveX) interface, vertically integrated
applications can be quickly assembled. In the above example, a proprietary slide
scanner control panel has been added. All aspects of the camera are
controlled through the Automation interface, allowing for rapid data acquisition
and generation of mosaics.
